Independent black comedy about a stand up comic whose life takes an unexpected twist. Although his professional life is on the up, Scottish comedian Joey Fisk (Stephen McCole)'s home life is not looking so rosy, with his drink and drug habits starting to cause rifts within his family. One day while taking a sauna he meets an old friend, Frank (Malcolm Shields), from his younger days when they were both in borstal. After offending Frank by joking about their reunion at one of his gigs, Joey takes Frank out for a night on the town, resulting in Joey being evicted by his landlord for threatening behaviour. With nowhere to go, Joey accepts Frank's offer of a place to stay, but soon finds himself involved in some very illegal activity...
Alice Lowe writes, directs and stars in this drama about a pregnant woman seeking revenge. Seven months pregnant and recently widowed, Ruth (Lowe) believes that she is being guided by her unborn child as she begins a murderous rampage through the streets of Cardiff. As she seeks revenge on anyone who was remotely connected to her husband's death, her baby becomes more and more demanding of her special skills, making sure that no potential witness is left alive. The cast also includes Gemma Whelan, Eileen Davies and Kate Dickie.
British horror in which a group of young offenders and their carers come to regret the decision to spend a weekend in rural Yorkshire. Kate (Jo Hartley) and Jeff (James Doherty), the leaders of the offenders, pick the village of Mortlake as their destination precisely for its reputation as a quiet, self-contained centre of rusticity. However, when the group enter the uniquely hostile environment of the local pub, The Dirty Hole, run by landlord Jim (Seamus O'Neill), they realise that appearances can be deceptive. After a series of escalating encounters with the locals, the urbanites find themselves well and truly out of their comfort zone when things turn nasty...
